Port Elliot Extension – Boomer Beach

Positioned overlooking the coastline at Boomer Beach, our Port Elliot extension project was designed in collaboration with Cube Architects to create a contemporary coastal residence that responds directly to its surrounding landscape, views and relaxed lifestyle setting.

The project centred around extending and reconfiguring the existing home to better capture natural light, ocean outlooks and connection to the outdoor environment. Careful consideration was given to the way the new architectural elements integrated with the original structure, ensuring the extension felt cohesive while introducing a distinctly modern coastal character.

Large expanses of glazing, open-plan living spaces and seamless transitions to outdoor entertaining areas were key components of the design. The layout was carefully planned to maximise the home’s elevated position and coastal orientation, allowing the living areas to take full advantage of the surrounding views and natural ventilation.

Material selections throughout the project were chosen to complement the coastal setting, balancing durability with warmth and refinement. Natural textures, clean architectural lines and restrained detailing create a calm and timeless aesthetic that reflects the relaxed atmosphere of Port Elliot while maintaining a high-end custom home finish.

Construction of the extension required careful coordination due to the site conditions and integration with the existing structure. Attention to detail throughout both the structural and finishing stages ensured the architectural intent was maintained while delivering a practical and highly liveable outcome for the clients.
