Concept plans to development approval

Wether its a new home, an extension or a renovation, Nuovo Homes can develop a concept design that fits your vision and budget. Our Process is streamlined from start to finish. We start our process with an in person meeting an questionnaire. From there we start a concept design based on your brief and provide a cost estimate. Once you are happy we can move onto the next phase and proceed with development approval.

The only way to accurately price a project is with accurate drawings that detail the size and the scope. With Tim’s extensive background as a builder, we understand the importance of well-crafted plans for successful outcomes on-site. We design in 3d which helps us find issues, and ensure compliance. Our commitment to excellence is reflected in our ability to provide you with 3D models for comprehensive reviews, allowing us to perfect every detail and help you visualise the stunning designs we create.

Choosing Nuovo for your custom home design means working closely with Tim throughout every step of the process. Whether you prefer a visit to your location or a stop into our office, we are here to accommodate your needs.

Planning & Building Approval

Once you approve the concept, we can move forward to preparing planning approval plans for your local council. We will prepare a site plan, elevations, floor plan and a list of materials/colours and lodge the documents on your behalf.

We then will work with the local council to meet all of your site requirements and get your approval to start your custom home.

The new state planning portal will keep you updated on all documentation and were we are up to in the process.

We engage engineers and complete energy reports on your behalf.

Quite often we find ways to help customers find the most cost effective solutions to their design. This may mean we request the engineers to consider alternative ways to achieve the same design, or changing the way room names to meet councils energy requirements.

Every building journey starts with a conversation. The first step is a meeting with Tim, we will run through the block and what your requirements are. If your project is a renovation we may meet at your home. After this initial meeting we will then put together a design proposal outliniong the costs to complete a concept design.

You may have already had plans drawn, we can work with those too. Quite often we find ourselves fixing or making amendments to the design a customer may have already had completed. The great advantage of using Nuovo Homes to design your project, we can ensure the design aligns to your budget.

With all our custom home designs, we provide 3D views of your project, helping you understand how it looks and how it will come together.

Once the concept design has been finalised, we can ballpark estimate the build costs. If you then choose to move forward, we can start the next phase and prepare planning and building drawings for Development approval with your local council.

Custom Home Selections

As we move forward to finalising your Custom Home Design documentation, we will book you in with our interior designer and recommended stores to select the materials and products that you like. Our designers will assist your design palette. We then document these selections and this forms part of the documentation for your new Custom Home design.
