Glenalta Custom Home 

Our Glenalta custom home project, designed by architect Jim Petre, was created to embrace the natural landscape of the Adelaide foothills while delivering a highly refined contemporary residence tailored to modern family living.

Positioned within the surrounding hills environment, the home was carefully designed to respond to the site’s topography, natural light and established vegetation. The architectural approach focused on creating a strong connection between the internal living spaces and the outdoors, allowing the home to feel integrated within its setting rather than imposed upon it.

The residence features a series of interconnected living zones designed to provide both openness and privacy, balancing large entertaining areas with quieter retreat spaces throughout the home. Extensive glazing, carefully framed outlooks and high-level detailing create interiors that feel light-filled, calm and connected to the surrounding landscape.

A key focus throughout the project was the execution of architectural detailing and premium material selections. Custom joinery, refined finishes and carefully considered transitions between materials contribute to the home’s understated sophistication, while practical planning ensures the residence functions seamlessly for everyday living.

Construction within the Glenalta hills environment required thoughtful coordination and precise execution, particularly in relation to site access, structural integration and maintaining the architectural integrity of the design.
